Continuation of the FF4EuroHPC project

→ PROJECT OBJECTIVES

FFplus represents the continuation of the FF4EuroHPC project. It responds to the DIGITAL-EUROHPC-JU-2023-SME-01 call "Support for the competitiveness and innovation potential of SMEs" by establishing a framework for the implementation of calls for projects in two thematic areas specific to SMEs.

This framework, inspired by the success of the Fortissimo series of projects, the latest version of which is FF4EuroHPC, is based on the proven mechanisms, processes, and experiences of this series, adapted to the needs of the current call.

The budget allocated to the project amounts to 24.5 million euros, intended to finance six waves of calls for projects via open calls. Three of these calls will target SMEs aiming to use high-performance computing (HPC) to improve their operations, while the other three will target SMEs/startups operating in the field of generative artificial intelligence (AI).

The activities carried out within this project will generate innovative experiments and innovation studies, demonstrating the impact and value of adopting HPC and AI for SMEs across Europe.

The project started on April 1, 2024, for a duration of 4 years.
