Data at the heart of cybersecurity

Active or passive, data is a key element in the implementation of cyber security. When active, data is generated by the infrastructure and applications and is used to identify and detect intrusions. It is also active when it allows organisations and authorities to identify fraudulent or illegal financial movements. As an essential asset of the information heritage, data is passive and its integrity, confidentiality and availability must be protected throughout its life cycle.
New and emerging technologies are improving the way we use or protect this data, considering operational or legal constraints that data aggregation may represent.
The cybersecurity workshop focus on putting data at the centre of cybersecurity through innovative case studies.
