Through CFM International (an equal joint venture with GE), Snecma develops, produces and markets the CFM56 family of commercial turbofans and is the lead partner to GE on several large turbofans, the CF6, GE90 and GP7200. We also team up with Russian partner NPO Saturn to develop and produce the SaM146 engine for Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company’s Superjet 100 regional jet, through the subsidiary PowerJet. In addition, Snecma is gearing up for the Silvercrest family of business jet engines.
Snecma develops and builds world-class military aircraft engines and powers more than 20 different types of combat, training and transport aircraft for more than 40 armed forces worldwide.
As the prime contractor for cryogenic propulsion on the Ariane 5 launch vehicle, Snecma develops and produces propulsion systems and equipment for launchers, satellites and space vehicles.
Snecma offers a complete range of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for both civil and military aircraft engines, used by airlines, armed forces and other operators. We also handle the spare parts supply chain and manages engine maintenance contracts. |
