Daily use of an artificial intelligence by caregivers: predict and personalize the expected information to impact patients care
More than 12,000 drugs are commercialized in France. Healthcare professionals cannot fully master the correct drug usage for every single clinical situation because of a lack of a direct access to a simple and exhaustive information source. A recent study estimates that 237 million medication errors occurred in England each year.
Questions about drug prescription, dispensation and use should never remain unanswered.
Billions of drug related questions are asked every year. What is critical to understand about drug queries is what information people expect as an answer; for instance: associated side effects, drug components, contraindications. There is a limited number of query types but the same question could be asked in many ways.
The Posos team has developed different natural language processing algorithms that are able to classify and contextualize drug related questions, bringing an immediate and personalized answer issued from official and renowned data sources.
This solution auto-improves itself: the more queries it receives, the better answers are. Our solution has been deployed in Amiens' University Hospital helping healthcare teams towards a better patient management. Other partnerships are in discussion, helping even more healthcare professionals making enlightened decision.

Biographie : Pharmacien et diplômé de l'ESSEC MBA, Emmanuel Bilbault a exercé différentes fonctions dans l'industrie pharmaceutique afin d'améliorer l'information transmises aux soignants et aux patients sur l'usage des médicaments. Il a notamment piloté l'organisation européenne d'information médicale du laboratoire Teva et accompagné le lancement de nouveaux médicaments à l'international. |
