The societal, educational and economic impacts of visual health are such that they justify making new technical and clinical progress in the management of ophthalmic disorders. Whether it's personalizing the vision correction for spectacle wearers, modeling and predicting the effects of aging on visuospatial behavior, or improving the diagnosis of eye conditions using new imaging techniques, the three speakers of the first session will present the challenges and computational approaches specific to these different applications concerning the visual system and, in doing so, will illustrate very distinct but complementary facets of human vision.
The study of epidemic dynamics has been well emphasized in the context of the current SARS-Cov2 pandemic. Epidemic models or learning approaches have been implemented to measure the magnitude of the epidemic, predict its evolution or study the impact of control measures.
