Forum Teratec 2022 Digital Simulation for High Performance, Big Data and Machine Learning (AI): Technology challenges and diversity of use
During the design, validation and operation phases of our systems, simulations are becoming increasingly important and demanding in terms of computing power in order to improve the accuracy of our equipment and ensure the complete simulation of our systems. Thales has been a partner of the CCRT (Centre de Calcul Recherche et Technologies) for several years to ensure the highest level of precision in the design of certain products. The development of digital twins and their deployment at the heart of Thales environments is accelerating this evolution. In addition, Thales solutions and products, historically embedded, are increasingly connected to computing resources such as HPC/Private Cloud or even public for better performance and efficiency. Thales is therefore very concerned by the "continuum computing" issue at several levels: on the one hand, for the design of our products and the operation of our solutions, and on the other hand, to provide our technological solutions to ensure cyber-security throughout the entire computing chain, from the sensor to the HPC, including the various levels of the Edge. For example, Thales secures IT and Cloud applications with its CipherTRUST product, which ensures the protection of their sensitive data. Finally, Thales is already contributing within French and national ecosystems to the evaluation of future quantum computing technologies with a view to further improving the accuracy of our products (e.g. antennas design) and considering new applications (e.g. dynamic mission planning in satellite constellations).
