The future 6G network platform will enable new innovative services connecting a cyber-physical world, like merged reality, massive digital twins and connected intelligent machines. These require high-performance communication with new demands on security, privacy, resilience, coverage, mobility, and the network compute fabric. The talk will give an overview of the current trends in mobile networks, potential future use cases in cyber-physical systems and the resulting requirements on future 6G networks.

Biography: Tobias Ley is leading the team for AI Research & Systems in Ericsson R&D France with focus on integration of AI technologies in the layers of the radio stack of mobile networks. AI is an integral component to optimize and automate the systems to further increase the end-to-end operations and performance characteristics. |
