We have put in place a multidisciplinary and multi institutions team, which gathers quantum physicists, integration and devices engineers, circuit designers and quantum information engineers. We want to build a quantum processor. We are aiming at delivering prototypes with a 100 qubits within 6 years and at having identified the key scientific challenges and roadblocks for scaling up.
In this presentation, we will discuss the architecture to design a large-scale quantum computer based on Si spin qubits and review the hardware integration choices and the consequences on low-level software. We will share some recent results and discuss the challenges and opportunities that lies ahead.
Biography : François Perruchot graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and has a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics on quantum electronic. He coordinated various R&D projects for start-ups mainly in the microsystem area as project manager before joining CEA-LETI in 2005.
As Program manager in LETI in the MEMS based components area, his responsibilities included patent portfolio management, public partnership, industrial contracts and technology road mapping. After managing LETI Business Development of the Silicon Division, he was in charge of CEA-LETI strategic marketing on sensors. He joined one year ago Maud Vinet team as project manager of CEA and CNRS joint effort in Grenoble to develop a quantum accelerator based on silicon spin qubits. Within this project, he drives also strategic marketing analysis and is in charge of the coordination of transversal actions combining hardware and software development. |
