TERATEC 2017 Forum
Workshop 7 - Wednesday, June 28 from 14:00 to 17:30
Interconnect

The GEN-Z Consortium
Patrick DEMICHEL, Distinguished Technologist, HPE

Abstract :  Our industry is pursuing its race towards Exascale systems. We know we are going to have more data centric requirements than in the past. There is a strong demand for capability to access a massive pool of cheap storage with low latency and high bandwidth. We also expect to benefit from a wide variety of heterogeneous computing and emerging NVM technologies. How to make this simple, secure, scalable and very performant for a wide range of different workloads? This is what this consortium is focusing, and that we will review during this talk.

Patrick is working for HPE since 37 years. He worked on many architectures, code development, performance tuning, HPC, Big Data… He is now Distinguished Technologist for HPE; he is focused on disruptive technologies to address the challenges of Exascale
