Teratec Quantum Computing Initiative

In 2018, Teratec launched the Teratec Quantum Computing Initiative in association with major partners: Total, EDF, Atos, Dassault-Aviation, Airbus, Naval Group, CEA, Thalès, IFPEN, ONERA, Université Paris7 and Université de Reims Champagne Ardennes.

The aim was to develop a French and European ecosystem for quantum computing, the importance of which we sensed.

Together, we wanted to: prepare and organise the development of industrial skills in the field, select and implement significant use cases for these industries, and propose the implementation of international cooperation projects.

Teratec is also involved in the launch of the "Quantum Benchmark" initiative supported by the National Quantum Plan and the National Metrology Laboratory.

The project, led by Daniel Verwaerde, will provide the international community of quantum machine users with evaluation tools based on a set of test algorithms representative of the future uses of quantum machines.

In particular, Teratec will be responsible for liaising with industry and comparable international initiatives, to ensure that the benchmark is as representative as possible.
