The session was devoted to "HPC in the loop" and related technologies. Innovative systems of today and tomorrow will incorporate more and more computing power or use "Edge Computing", enabling control loops using high-performance computing.

Hardware aspects (local power, multi-core architectures, etc.) and software issues (real-time aspects, parallelization, model reduction, digital simulation mixes and AI technologies, sensor simulation, etc.) have been addressed through innovations that will have a strong impact in the years to come, such as autonomous means of transport.
