NVIDIA’s Vision for Exascale

Abstract : By making it possible to simulate the complexity of real-world systems with high fidelity, exascale computing promises scientific and engineering breakthroughs across a large range of disciplines including astrophysics, climate and weather modeling, aerospace, biology, materials science, nuclear engineering, and several others.
There are however significant challenges ahead to achieve exascale computing. It will, in particular, require drastic improvements in energy efficiency and a large investment in programming models and applications.

This talk will present NVIDIA’s view on these challenges and its commitment to address them and build a solution for exascale computing in partnership with the High Performance Computing community around the world.

Biography : Cyril ZELLER

Cyril Zeller is Director of Engineering at NVIDIA where he heads up the Developer Technology group for GPU Computing, partnering with developers to GPU-accelerate their applications. Prior to joining NVIDIA, Cyril was a senior software engineer developing games at Electronic Arts. He is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, France, and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
