Jacques DUYSENS
General Manager, Chief Operating Officer of SILKAN in charge of the direction of the Group simulation activities and in charge of the Northern America development.
Biography : Jacques DUYSENS was previously Vice President and Chief Technology officer of CS COMUNICATIONS & SYSTEMS, in charge of the technical direction of the Aeronautics, Energy and Industry activities of the group. He held since 2004 the following positions in CS : Director of the Modeling & Simulation Center, Director of the Energy & Industry Division with more than 300 engineers in the fields of simulation-based engineering and sciences, high performance computing and virtual reality.
He is currently a member of the board of the Paris area SYSTEM@TIC Competitiveness Cluster Working group « Tools for Complex Systems Design and Development » (OCDS). Within SYSTEM@TIC collaborative environment, Jacques DUYSENS is also the coordinator and principal investigator of important collaborative research projects dedicated to simulation and high performance computing (global budget of more than 100 millions Euro since System@tic creation). He is also a member of the Executive Board of the TER@TEC association dediicated to the promotion of the high performance computing (HPC) discipline and the installation of the 1st European Campus dedicated to HPC in Bruyères le Châtel near Paris.
After having started his career in the Aerospace Laboratory of the University of Liège in Belgium (LTAS) and spent more than 10 years in the simulation and design of powetrains in RENAULT Car Company (Boulogne Billancourt and Rueil-Malmaison technical centers), Jacques DUYSENS has also created and developped in France the services company GDTECH-France, subsidiary of the Belgian ISV SAMTECH.
