Quantum Processor Units (QPUs) are far from being simple plug-and-play components like GPUs or TPUs. Their integration introduces new infrastructure requirements and unprecedented security challenges. Yet several datacenters have already taken the plunge: the first QPUs are now operational, and valuable experience has been gained.
We are pleased to announce that the next TQCI Conference will be dedicated to sharing early feedback from these initial deployments. What technical obstacles did teams encounter? Which software adaptations proved necessary? And most importantly, what lessons can future adopters draw from these pioneering efforts?
The conference will be structured around several key sessions:
- Integration constraints and impacts on computing and datacenter facilities
- Middleware challenges and solutions
- First steps and user experience (e.g., ease of use)
- User perspectives and medium-term needs
